Abels Wins Two First Place Trophies at TruckFest 2017

Truckfest 2017 was held at the Norfolk Showground on Saturday 19th August and Sunday 20th August 2017. With around 30,000 visitors attending, Truckfest has now become a popular well established event now running for its second year with over 300 trucks from around the UK on display at the Norfolk Showground.

Abels entered 3 of our removal vehicles at the event, one from our historic collection and two active working units from the Abels modern Fleet.

Abels won two x 1st Place awards, as well as a Highly Commended for our third vehicle on show at Truckfest.

Abels was awarded a 1st Place for our restored 1941 Bedford MLD removal truck in the category of Best Kept Vintage and Heritage category.

There was also an award for Abels Fleet 8 (seen above) with another 1st place award in the Best Kept Tipper/Ridged Award. We were also awarded a Highly Recommended for Fleet 7 (seen below) which is an artic unit.

The show allowed Abels to exhibit three of our removal vehicles see the photos above.

Other Vehicles at the TruckFest 2017 at Norwich

At Truckfest 2017 was a variety of trucks, many with detailed vinyl wrapping, with extreme customisation of many of the vehicles. The show was visited by a number of well know celebrities such as Ice Road Truckers Lisa Kelly and Todd Dewey.

The show also had demonstrations of the recovery of trucks and a display by monster trucks crushing cars in the main arena. Many local East Anglian companies were well represented at this well attended event.
