Abels Moving Services have been advised by our agents in Turkey that there are increased Physical and X-Ray in sections now on entry to Turkey.
Please note that due to the current state of emergency in Turkey, there is an increased in severe physical inspections and additional X-Ray examinations on each and every shipment into Turkey.
There is no possibility to avoid these inspections as this is a strict rule made by the government during this period.
The customs department in Turkey are now using their own porters for handling the items during the customs inspection, which is another negative aspect of this situation, as this causes further delays. Photos are being taken during inspections.
The government rule states that almost every item will need to be opened, when being shipped into the country.
Please be aware that these inspections are causing additional costs for customs services and that these come with official receipts.
