For customers planning on moving to and from Doha Qatar, Abels Moving Services have been updated by our agents to make us aware that there are heavy delays through the port at Doha.
There is a huge back log for physical inspection on all export and import shipments at the port in Doha. This has been caused as a result of trailer congestion at the Doha port. Custom work and trailer movement/availability are very slow at the port, thereby affecting all import and export shipments.
Until further notice, it is not possible to commit loading of export shipment containers in Qatar, directly from a client’s house to the port. Currently to overcome the trailer and customs delays a shuttle service will be applicable from client house to our agent’s warehouse.
Container loading and dispatch can be planned only as per trailer availability. Moves will involve additional charges such as a minimum of a week’s storage and handling charges, trailer detention charges and other additional costs.
