Congratulations to Senior Packer Mike Pilch for completing 35 years of continuous service. We were finally able to allocate him to work in Brandon stores so we could catch up with him to present his Abels champagne and framed certificate of service in front of many of his colleagues.
Mike is one of our top export packers and is the first name on the worksheet when a VIP move is accepted. He has also travelled overseas to help deliver and set up jobs we have shipped and wanted this complete service.
Mike started in Watton Norfolk his home town in 1984 when we had a large recruitment drive to service the Crown Suppliers contract we had just secured and needed approximately an extra 50 crew members to deliver office goods around the country on behalf of the Government which covered every conceivable establishment starting from a stockholding and distribution warehouse near Abingdon Oxfordshire.
