Abels Moving Services, the UK’s premier residential and international moving company, is proud to announce the opening of its new removals and storage facility in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.
Just 13 miles from London and with excellent road access to the M25 and A1(M), this new operational branch not only provides the very best in moving services to local homeowners and businesses in Hertfordshire, and surrounding counties, but cuts both the transit-time and fuel-consumption into central London.
On the day, guests from within the property and removals industry were greeted not only with a glass of fizz, or juice, but the spectacular sight of Abels’ historic vehicles including a 1941 Bedford removal van and beautiful 1896 horse-drawn pantechinicon, complete with shire horses. The sun shone and the skies were an Abels ‘cornflower blue’ as the Mayor of Hertsmere, Councillor Anne Swerling, cut the ribbon to formally open the facility.
Guests were then treated to a tour of the 28,500 square foot warehouse with state of the art security, CCTV and fire alarms and were slightly over-awed by its capacity for 1200 to 1400 storage containers. The tour was followed by an export packing demonstration by two of Abels’ professionally-trained staff.
Neil Pertoldi, General Manager of Abels Moving Services said, “We are excited at the possibilities that this new removals facility gives Abels, not only with new customers in and around Potters Bar, but because the capacity of this warehouse allows us to increase our storage offerings to our residential, commercial and international clientele.”
