Pianos, chandeliers, fine art, wine and rare antiques all need a different kind of care. We specialise in the safe handling, transport and storage of valuable and irreplaceable items, locally and internationally, treating each piece on its own terms.
If a car or motorbike is part of the move, we can transport high-performance, vintage or simply much-loved vehicles across the UK, Europe or further afield, with drivers trained specifically for the job.
Sometimes moving day and completion day fall on different dates, or you need somewhere safe for things you’re not ready to unpack. Our storage includes temperature-controlled units, in-house crating and custom shelving, available for as long as you need it.
It starts with a visit from a Relocation Consultant, who looks at what you actually need and builds a plan around it. They’ll talk through the options (full-service, part-packed, or with storage included) and recommend what fits your move.
From there, your Relocation Consultant stays your main point of contact, coordinating the removal team so every detail is covered. If you’ve opted for the concierge service, your Abels Personal Assistant takes over the day-to-day coordination, giving you more time for everything else involved in moving house.
Once you’ve accepted your removal quotes, the steps involved are straightforward: confirm your moving date, agree what’s being packed by us versus yourself, and let your consultant know about anything unusual, a piano, a narrow staircase, limited parking at either end. Sorting these out ahead of time is what keeps removal day itself straightforward.
Moving day itself runs to a plan agreed in advance: your team knows what’s being packed, what’s already boxed, and where everything is going at the other end. Fragile and high-value items are handled separately from general furniture, and your move manager remains reachable if anything needs adjusting on the day.
