Since 1958, Abels Moving Services have been providing the highest quality service and customer care in International shipping, home removals and storage. Our in-house moving teams are experts in moving antiques and specialist items such as pianos, grandfather clocks, and fine art alongside day-to-day household items and furniture. 1958
The Company is Founded
Abels began life delivering goods to and from auction salerooms across East Anglia, quickly gaining a reputation for trust and reliability.
1960s
The Safe Removal Company
Under the leadership of Noel and Tony Abel, the company rebranded as The Safe Removal Company, laying the groundwork for decades of dependable service.
1970s
Becoming Abels of Watton
Acquired over eight acres in Norfolk and officially renamed Abels of Watton, investing in infrastructure and establishing long-term roots.
1981
A Royal Beginning
Our association with the Royal Household began, proudly moving all the wedding presents for Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
1988
Royal Recognition
Granted the Royal Warrant for Removals and Storage Services by Her Late Majesty The Queen — the first firm to receive this honour in our sector.
